Our work in Mandera
Mandera lies in the far north-east of Kenya, on the borders with Somalia and Ethiopia. It is one of the hottest and driest parts of the country. Families depend on livestock and small farms, and long dry spells can wipe out both. Orphan care began here in 1993, and it is still at the heart of our work.
