Give Sadaqah
Give Sadaqah. Change lives across Kenya.
Sadaqah comes from the Arabic word “sidq,” meaning sincerity and truthfulness. It is any voluntary act of charity given purely to please Allah (SWT) whether through money, time, a kind word, or even a smile.
Unlike Zakat, which is obligatory, Sadaqah is entirely voluntary and can be given at any time, in any amount, to anyone in need. Read our full guide to Sadaqah or see how it differs from Zakat.
“Sadaqah extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire.”Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Tirmidhi
Sadaqah is more than just giving. It purifies your wealth, protects you from calamity, and draws you closer to Allah. It establishes a flow of generosity within our communities, bonding Muslims together and lifting up those who are struggling.
Allah says in the Qur’an: “Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?” (2:245)
Through Islamic Relief Kenya, your Sadaqah reaches the most vulnerable communities across the country, from drought-affected families in Garissa, Wajir and Mandera to displaced households in Nairobi and the coastal region.

When your Sadaqah creates lasting benefit, it becomes Sadaqah Jariyah, an ongoing charity that continues to earn you rewards even after you have passed from this world.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a child who prays for them.” (Muslim)
Every borehole built, every classroom constructed, every orphan sponsored: these are acts of Sadaqah Jariyah whose rewards never stop. When a child drinks clean water from a well you helped build, you are rewarded. When a student learns in a classroom you helped construct, you are rewarded. The giving truly never ends.
Across Kenya, thousands of families are facing drought, displacement and hunger. They need your help today. Your Sadaqah, no matter how small, can be the difference between despair and dignity for a family in crisis.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) reminded us: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity.” (Tirmidhi)
May Allah (SWT) reward you abundantly and accept your contributions as a source of ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah).
