Last year, your generous Qurbani donations brought joy and nourishment to vulnerable families right here in Kenya. Alhamdulillah in 2025, Islamic Relief Kenya performed 17,150 Qurbanis, distributed 34,300 meat packs of 5 kilograms each, and reached 205,800 rightsholders including 103,918 men, 101,694 women and 188 persons with disabilities.
In 2026, millions of families across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid regions continue to face hunger and food insecurity. Rural communities are particularly vulnerable to severe droughts, leading to food and water shortages. For many families in Garissa, Wajir, Mandera and beyond, Qurbani may be the only time in the entire year they eat meat.
Fulfil your Qurbani this Eid and make a difference for families in Kenya.
Qurbani also known as Udhiyah means sacrifice. Every year during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal, a goat, sheep, cow or camel, to reflect Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) for the sake of Allah (SWT). After the animal is sacrificed, its meat is distributed to those most in need.
In Kenya, Islamic Relief distributes each Qurbani as two meat packs of 5 kilograms each providing a family with quality, halal protein on Eid al-Adha through our Quality Assured Qurbani programme, which upholds full Shariah compliance, Core Humanitarian Standards and animal welfare standards throughout.
Islamic Relief Kenya’s Quality Assured Qurbani programme ensures only the best animals are selected meeting strict health, weight and age standards set by Islamic Relief.
You can give your Qurbani in Kenya easily and securely online at donate.islamic-relief.or.ke. Islamic Relief Kenya sources animals locally, supporting Kenyan farmers and local economies, while guaranteeing every sacrifice meets our Quality Assured standards.
An estimated 318 million people globally face crisis-level hunger or worse, according to the World Food Programme. In Kenya, severe droughts and floods have pushed families in the most vulnerable counties to the brink. By giving your Qurbani through Islamic Relief Kenya, you bring the joy, nourishment and dignity of Eid to a family that truly needs it.

For all Muslims, Qurbani is a greatly rewarded act of worship that brings us closer to Allah (SWT).
